Position Description
PingWind is seeking a Front-End Developer to build and deliver the user experience layer of a highly strategic, federally aligned supply chain resilience initiative. Reporting to engineering leadership, this individual will own dashboards, user experience, and visualization delivery within a live control-tower environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can drive their work from conception to deployment with minimal supervision. This role requires a developer who is not only proficient in React but also passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and delivering exceptional user experiences, particularly when working with large data sets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to implement innovative solutions.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code, including writing unit tests.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in front-end development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
- Drive projects from initial concept through deployment, ensuring milestones are met on time.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in frontend development, full-stack development, data application development, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands-on experience with React.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Nx, Babel, NPM).
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous request handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desired Skills
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and the ability to translate complex data into intuitive interfaces.
- Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with AI tools and agentic development.
- Experience with TypeScript and SCSS.
- Familiarity with Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks.

Salary Range
$115k-$160K
