Engineering Manager (Android Modernization)

Join Pinterest as an Engineering Manager for the Android Modernization team in Toronto. You will lead a specialized team of Android engineers, set the technical vision and roadmap, drive platform modernization, and improve client stability and performance. You will also be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers, and using AI to accelerate engineering workflows. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 10+ years of engineering experience, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Establish clear operating rhythms for planning, risk management, and stakeholder updates, while hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers.

Profil recherché

- Strong technical judgment grounded in mobile Android engineering, e.g. Kotlin, Compose, and modern architectures like MVVM

- 10+ years of experience in engineering, including 2+ years of experience in engineering management

- Experience partnering with Senior/Staff engineers to build high impact roadmaps

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and experience aligning priorities across teams and driving delivery through ambiguity and competing stakeholder needs

- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day workflows, with a strong practice of validating AI-assisted work and maintaining ownership of final outcomes

- Experience building platform capabilities that improve the productivity and effectiveness of product engineering teams
