Pinterest is an American visual discovery platform founded in 2010 where people save and organise images, products and ideas into themed boards. Unlike feed-based social networks it is built around planning future intent, so users arrive researching a kitchen renovation, an outfit or a holiday rather than to follow friends, which makes the audience unusually valuable to advertisers. Headquartered in San Francisco and listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2019, the company earns nearly all of its revenue from advertising and has invested heavily in shoppable pins, visual search and AI-driven recommendations.

About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.

Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.

As a Senior Client Account Manager for Pinterest’s Auto and QSR book of business, you will be a trusted day-to-day and strategic partner to leading advertisers and agencies across these high-priority verticals. You will own the planning, activation, optimization, and growth of a portfolio of accounts, helping clients translate their business goals into full-funnel Pinterest advertising strategies that deliver measurable results.

This is a rare opportunity to help build and scale a high-potential Auto and QSR business from the ground up alongside your Client Partner. As a new and growing portfolio, this role is ideal for someone energized by ambiguity, who enjoys creating momentum from the bottom up, and wants to have a meaningful impact on how Pinterest grows within two strategically important categories.

Pinterest is a positive platform where people come to discover ideas and take action to create a life they love. In this role, you’ll help Auto and QSR brands show up at meaningful moments throughout the consumer journey, turning inspiration into consideration, visits, leads, orders, and other meaningful business outcomes.

Success in this role requires strong client service, digital media, performance optimization, and strategic problem-solving skills. You will build deep client and agency relationships, use data to develop clear recommendations, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are set up for success, performing effectively, and positioned for long-term growth.

What you’ll do

  • Own the day-to-day management and strategic growth of a portfolio of Auto and QSR advertisers, helping retain, expand, and diversify Pinterest’s value across each account.
  • Build trusted relationships with client and agency partners across levels, including senior stakeholders, by understanding their business objectives, media priorities, category dynamics, and success metrics.
  • Lead account planning, client discovery, business reviews, and performance conversations to identify opportunities, address risks, and develop actionable plans that drive stronger outcomes.
  • Translate client business challenges into tailored Pinterest media recommendations across brand, consideration, and performance objectives.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on Pinterest’s advertising products, creative best practices, targeting, measurement, and optimization solutions, proactively identifying relevant opportunities for clients.
  • Ensure campaigns are strategically set up for success, including clear objectives, measurement frameworks, targeting approaches, creative considerations, pacing, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance throughout the campaign lifecycle, diagnosing issues, identifying performance levers, and recommending course corrections to improve client outcomes.
  • Turn campaign results, platform insights, and category trends into compelling narratives that demonstrate Pinterest’s business impact and inform future client investment decisions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase client investment through new campaign use cases, expanded product adoption, seasonal moments, additional business objectives, and deeper agency engagement.
  • Navigate client objections and challenging performance conversations with professionalism, transparency, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Partner closely with the Client Partner to align account strategy, identify growth opportunities, and ensure a seamless experience across commercial, strategic, and operational client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners-including Measurement, Creative Strategy, Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Solutions, and technical teams-to resolve complex challenges and deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • Proactively communicate risks, progress, performance insights, and next steps to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accountability and momentum across priorities.
  • Share successful account strategies, product learnings, campaign insights, and best practices with the broader team to help scale success across the Auto and QSR business.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in client services, account management, media planning, digital advertising, agency services, ad tech, or a related field.
  • Experience managing a book of business or portfolio of advertiser accounts, with a demonstrated ability to retain clients, grow investment, and deliver strong client outcomes.
  • Strong digital advertising and media expertise, including a working knowledge of full-funnel advertising solutions across brand awareness, consideration, conversion, and performance marketing objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing campaign planning, activation, optimization, reporting, and performance troubleshooting across digital or social media platforms.
  • Ability to translate campaign performance data, measurement insights, and market trends into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative account management skills, with the ability to uncover client needs, develop thoughtful solutions, handle objections, and build long-term client trust.
  • Experience working with agencies and/or complex advertiser organizations, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly explain media strategy, campaign performance, product capabilities, and optimization recommendations.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, make sound decisions amid ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high standard of execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong ownership of client outcomes, campaign performance, operational excellence, and revenue growth.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering cross-functionally to solve client challenges and deliver against shared business goals.
  • Experience supporting Auto, QSR, Retail, Travel, or other high-consideration and/or performance-driven advertisers is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience.
