Microsoft Azure Cloud Developer

Overview

Planned Systems International (PSI) is seeking a developer in the data analysis group supporting multiple technologies. This role will support enterprise reporting, analytics, and cloud modernization initiatives leveraging Microsoft technologies, including Power BI, Azure Cloud Services, Power Platform, and Databricks.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services, Power Apps, and Power Platform technologies.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives, including the migration of legacy reporting and analytics solutions to Azure and Databricks environments.
• Participate as an active member of the scrum team, providing input to team velocity and sprint ceremonies, planning, demonstrations and retrospectives
• Design and code high-quality deliverables adhering to standards and design principles
• Produce quality and timely deliverables
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, correlations, risks, and opportunities that drive informed decision-making.
• Build informative reports / dashboards, application of statistical methods, and deep investigation.
• Support root cause analysis and resolution for complex issues regarding performance, scaling, and custom configuration
• Advanced knowledge in using data visualization effectively to tell a story and drive action by presenting information, defining and designing KPI based dashboards / reports that summarize customer insights and highlight “hot spots” for the customer
• Work with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Scientists, to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables - visualization)
• Perform data investigation to discover correlations / trends and the ability to explain them, and collaborate with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio consistent with the vision and goals of our stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and. 10 years experience in a software development. An additional 8 years of technical experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

• Experience with Databricks including analytics, reporting, and data transformation capabilities.

• Experience with Azure Cloud services and architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including the ability to understand existing dashboard architecture, data models, and reporting solutions.

• Proficient with the use of Power Apps and SharePoint

• Knowledge in SQL programming skills with an understanding of database capabilities.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with large datasets and performing advanced data analysis and investigation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and data-related issues.
