As a Senior Financial Accountant at Planon, you are responsible for and take ownership for accurate and timely financial reporting within a dynamic and international environment. In addition to this you will be in the lead for execution and monitoring of the group’s tax processes across multiple jurisdictions.
You play a key role in the monthly closing process, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and group standards. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on execution, control, and continuous improvement. You not only deliver but also review, challenge, and improve financial processes, controls, and outputs. You will work closely with your colleagues in the Accounting & Control team and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, while supporting tax reporting and documentation activities.
What will you do?
Accounting & Closing
Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including revenue recognition. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial data is complete, accurate, and compliant with group standards. Prepare monthly financial results and provide accurate financial data for group reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Analyze financial variances and provide relevant insights to management. Support statutory and internal audits and ensure financial transactions and controls are correctly performed and documented in a timely manner.
Tax Compliance & Filings
Act as the first point of contact for operational tax matters and ensure local tax filing obligations and deadlines are met.
Process Improvement
Identify and support improvements in accounting processes, controls, standardization, and efficiency, including the use of AI and other innovations.
