About the role
As a Principal Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative semiconductor products from concept through production. You will lead validation and characterization activities, define validation strategies, and drive continuous improvements in automation, measurement techniques, and data analysis.
Working closely with Design, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Applications, and Systems teams, you will ensure products meet functionality, performance, quality, and reliability requirements. As a technical leader, you will contribute to solving complex engineering challenges and help shape validation methodologies across the organization.
What you will do
- Define validation strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria for new semiconductor products.
- Lead silicon validation and characterization activities across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
- Develop and implement automated validation solutions, measurement setups, and test methodologies.
- Analyze validation results, identify root causes of issues, and drive corrective actions.
- Correlate simulation, laboratory, and production test data to improve product performance and robustness.
- Drive continuous improvement in validation processes, automation, and data analytics.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers within project teams.
- Support customer investigations, quality improvement initiatives, and competitive benchmarking activities.
What you will need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Several years of experience in semiconductor validation, characterization, product engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of silicon validation, laboratory measurements, and data analysis techniques.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Experience in debugging complex technical issues and driving effective solutions.
- Programming and automation experience using tools such as Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience with mixed-signal, interface, power management, or isolation semiconductor products is an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
