Playtech's Corporate IT unit is looking for a Database Administrator (Microsoft SQL Server) to help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of critical database environments that support our global operations. Your influential mission. You will...
- Install, upgrade, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure backups and recovery processes are aligned with company standards.
- Implement improvements in database maintenance, security, and protection.
- Manage incidents, requests, and changes within agreed service levels.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
- Support both development and production environments.
- Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.
Components for success. You...
- Have 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Have strong experience with MS SQL and T-SQL.
- Bring expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always-ON Availability groups.
- Posses strong understanding of DMVs, Extended Events, SQL Profiler, and Query.
- Have experience managing Azure-hosted SQL instances.
- Understand SQL backup and recovery strategies.
- Have solid knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Combine strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Take ownership of your work and can effectively manage competing priorities.

- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
CORPORATE IT SERVICES
The Corporate IT Services team supports Playtech's global infrastructure, applications, and business systems. As part of a team of experienced system administrators, application administrators, and database specialists located across Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, and Poland, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving services used throughout the business. Reporting to the Corporate IT Application Manager, you'll work on a variety of technologies while contributing to projects that have a global impact.
