SDE I (Backend)

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 1 - Backend with strong programming and problem-solving skills to build and improve backend systems in a fast-paced product/startup environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies and a strong foundation in backend development, APIs, databases, and data structures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Work with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies.
• Build reliable and scalable production features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Work with databases and design efficient data access patterns.
• Debug and resolve technical and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to improving application performance and reliability.
• Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or a similar programming language.
• Strong problem-solving and coding skills.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of REST APIs and databases
• Good understanding of backend engineering fundamentals
• Experience building real-world/production applications.
• Prior experience in a product-based company or startup preferred.
• Good to have: Microservices, Kafka / Message Queues, Redis, SQL / NoSQL, AWS / GCP / Azure, Docker, CI/CD, event-driven architecture, and AI/ML or GenAI exposure.
• Strong coding and analytical ability.
• Good problem-solving mindset.
• Eager to work with modern/new-age technologies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced product/startup environment.
• Strong ownership and learning mindset.
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
