ML Engineer

Point72, a leading global alternative investment firm led by Steven A. Cohen, is a global alternative investment firm that manages capital across fundamental and systematic strategies, investing across public and private markets worldwide. As part of their growing technology team, they're looking for a staff engineer (internally flat hierarchy) to help design and build next-generation AI systems.

They're looking for professionals with 9+ years of experience and strong hands-on experience in Python, particularly in building and deploying scalable systems. Prior AI/ML or GenAI experience is not mandatory; however, after joining, you should be comfortable and genuinely interested in working on an AI/ML-heavy role and learning/deep-diving into these technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable AI/ML architectures and systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and compliance to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing and new products.
• Evaluate tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of AI/ML systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in AI/ML.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
