Role Overview

Technical Project Managers (TPMs) are the engine that drives our clients’ success. They are adept communicators with strong technical knowledge and a knack for problem-solving.

At Pointr, we empower TPMs to partner with clients and internal teams to deliver premier indoor technology solutions. To that end, they are comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced organization and are energized by leveraging cutting-edge technology to create the future of indoor experiences.

At its core, this role requires the TPM to combine tactical execution skills with strategic expertise to lead cross-functional teams through multiple, often concurrent project lifecycles.

As the Sr. TPM for Healthcare, this person operates as a player-coach: they own delivery for their own healthcare projects and programs end-to-end, including large, multi-site, multi-customer programs), while also serving as the strategic lead for the vertical.

As the strategic lead, this person sets priority across the portfolio of healthcare vertical projects based on project needs and client value, standardizes delivery processes for the vertical, and works closely with the account owners and delivery team leads to track resource availability and effectiveness. Other TPMs rotate onto healthcare projects as volume requires, and are coordinated by the Sr. TPM..

Oversee program focused on delivery of all projects for our aggressively growing health care vertical; managing and reviewing project needs, client value, and determining priority across all projects for the health care vertical. Standardize and

work closely with the account owner, and the delivery team leads to track resource availability and effectiveness.

Track and report on resource utilization and limitations, escalating for resolution.

Core Responsibilities

• Own requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, and deployment support for our global clients and partners, ensuring timely, efficient delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Work with client and delivery team members to rapidly and accurately deliver Pointr products and services.

• Review and identify Delivery Organization process improvements focusing on shortening the effort and duration of delivery activities.

• Work with clients to identify and resolve mapping and wayfinding issues. Coordinate and solve these issues working closely with technical teams.

• Develop broad understanding of Pointr products, enabling an increasing ability to provide direct support and problem resolution to map, wayfinding, and integration solutions.

• Proactively partner with commercial and technical stakeholders, regularly educating them on Pointr’s solutions and deployment process while serving as a key partner to their success

• Closely collaborate with developers, designers, and deployment managers to integrate Pointr’s suite of technology with client applications

• Investigate and diagnose hardware and software challenges alongside Pointr’s delivery teams to ensure solution quality and sustainability

• Facilitate client status meetings to manage the scope and schedule of multiple, often concurrent deployments

• Learn! Master Pointr’s product suite to better understand how clients can use our technology and in turn supplement our product roadmap

• Engage in proactive and timely communication that consistently impresses our clients.

• Set priority across all healthcare vertical projects based on project needs, client value, and delivery capacity.

• Coordinate and support other TPMs rotating onto healthcare projects as volume requires.

• Standardize delivery processes across the healthcare vertical, in partnership with the account owner and delivery team leads.

• Track and report on resource utilization and limitations across the portfolio, escalating for resolution.

• Partner with hospital IT, network, and facilities teams; support EHR integration work (Epic in particular), RTLS, and patient experience initiatives.

• Build and maintain relationships with client-side executives across the healthcare portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT project management or technical consultancy experience in a hardware or software company

• 5+ years leading programs supporting multiple client implementations simultaneously, successfully, at speed.

• 3+ years experience working in the health care industry with hands-on exposure to health IT, EHR integration (Epic in particular), RTLS, hospital facilities operations, patient experience initiatives, or hospital network teams.

• Demonstrated ability to move in a fast-paced environment, learning on the job while juggling multiple deliveries.

• Experience leading the delivery and support phases of the customer lifecycle.

• A self-starter by nature with applied knowledge of agile software development processes and a strong interest in learning about indoor location technology

• Experience managing or mentoring other project or program managers in a matrixed or player-coach capacity.

• Experience delivering large-scale, multi-site, or multi-customer programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in a relevant technology or management field (Computer Science is a plus)

• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, MS Office, MS Project)

• Project Management Professional® (PMP) / Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certifications preferred

Compensation

Base salary range: $150,000 - $165,000 + bonus, based on experience and market. Total compensation also includes stock options and benefits: medical/dental, 401(k), 18 days PTO + sick time + 12 holidays, and paid parental leave.
