This posting is intended to support our FY27 hiring pipeline for future Process Support Engineer opportunities across Applied Materials Taiwan. Specific product groups, business units, and work locations will be determined based on candidate qualifications and future organizational hiring needs. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and the service and repair of complex systems and equipment.
• Work closely with customers to develop and optimize advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE); analyze data and provide recommendations based on technical findings.
• Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues using structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to drive technical solutions and achieve business objectives.
• Apply semiconductor process knowledge and customer insights to identify opportunities for process improvement and performance enhancement.
• Support new technology introductions, process qualifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemistry/ physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or related field
• 1-5 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, equipment engineering, technical support, yield enhancement, process integration, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in process development, process optimization, or equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Applied Materials platforms or semiconductor equipment is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
