Role Overview

We are seeking a Data & Engineering Manager to lead our digital development and project management efforts. In this role, you will lead the effort of building an immersive tech learning experience, using data to inform business and product decisions, and supporting technical needs for operation teams. You will collaborate closely with multiple internal teams and external vendors/affiliates.

KeyResponsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of technical, design and operation professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams, and externally with vendors and affiliates to deliver products that meet timeline and expectations.
• Work with databases to retrieve, analyze and visualize data, informing decisions on learner engagement, content enhancement and business optimisation.
• Support operational tech needs, including system optimisation and troubleshooting to maintain seamless platform performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript), database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) and BI tools (e.g. Metabase).
• Familiar with AI/ML concepts and digital transformation initiatives. Passion for education and technology, with a commitment to fostering data-driven decision-making and innovation.
• Excellent project management and communication skills, with a strong business sense and collaboration mindset. Humble team player comfortable with fast-paced startup environments and ambiguity.
