Senior Auditor

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join our audit firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in external auditing, financial statement reviews, and compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The role involves conducting audit engagements for clients across different industries, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and providing recommendations to improve financial controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute external audit engagements for clients across various industries.
• Examine financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform audit procedures, including substantive testing, analytical reviews, and internal control assessments.
• Verify the accuracy of financial transactions, balances, and disclosures.
• Assess compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and applicable local regulations.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses, and potential risks.
• Prepare audit findings and contribute to the preparation of audit reports.
• Communicate with clients to obtain required financial information and resolve audit queries.
• Coordinate with audit managers and team members to ensure engagements are completed within agreed timelines.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures when required.
• Supervise and guide junior auditors, depending on experience and assignment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-8 years of experience in external auditing within an audit or accounting firm.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting requirements.
• Practical experience in auditing financial statements and conducting audit fieldwork.
• Familiarity with IFRS, ISA, and applicable Egyptian accounting and regulatory requirements, where relevant.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or audit software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and professional ethics.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Progress toward or possession of professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or DipIFR.
• Experience working with clients across multiple industries.
• Previous experience supervising junior auditors is an advantage.
