Cloud Developer Level 1

Prescient Edge is hiring an entry-level Cloud Developer to support cloud software development for Mission Systems. The role contributes to requirements analysis, software development, system integration, testing, documentation, and collaboration under close supervision and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing software, hardware, and cloud architecture for aircraft, surface, and ground mission systems
• Support development of system, subsystem, and functional software/cloud requirements under supervision
• Develop and maintain MS software components using multiple technologies. Examples listed below are not all inclusive
• Contribute to full-stack solutions including GUI components and back-end sensor interfaces under guidance
• Assist in developing scripts, installing applications, and configuring software systems
• Support creation of interfaces to external/internal systems and sensors
• Help with software installation across various hardware configurations and cloud environments
• Develop and execute unit tests under supervision
• Participate in system and integration testing activities
• Conduct testing in labs and on assets (command centers, surface platforms, aircraft) with senior developer oversight
• Participate in code reviews and actively incorporate feedback
• Assist in developing technical documentation for software, cloud, and GUI changes
• Work closely with team members to support software usability and reliability
• Build professional relationships and learn organizational vision and goals

Skills

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework, certifications, or internship experience
• Combination of technical boot camps, certifications, and relevant project experience
• 0-1 year of fulltime employment of software/cloud development beyond graduation
• Recent graduates with relevant internships, co-op experience, or academic projects
• U.S. citizenship required
• Basic understanding of agile software development practices
• Foundational knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment
• Programming proficiency in at least one or two languages
• Basic understanding of version control (Git) and development tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Exposure to agile development methodologies through coursework or internships
