Product Manager

A leading SaaS platform dedicated to linking African researchers, innovators, and enterprises with mentorship, funding, and commercialisation pathways is seeking a Product Manager. The platform's mission is to speed up innovation and the translation of research into real-world application across the continent.

The Product Manager will take ownership of the full development lifecycle of the platform's Minimum Viable Product (MVP), driving it from concept through to launch within a defined timeframe. The position spans product strategy, coordination of the delivery team, agile execution, user research, quality assurance, and assistance with fundraising through product-focused materials.

• Build and maintain the product roadmap, with priority placed on delivering the MVP and planning subsequent releases.
• Coordinate designers, developers, and other stakeholders to secure on-time, high-standard product delivery.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard the product development team members required for delivery.
• Run Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and backlog prioritisation.
• Carry out market research, competitor analysis, user interviews, and pilot testing to validate product features.
• Produce documentation covering product requirements, user stories, workflows, and development milestones.
• Supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and monitoring of post-launch performance.
• Deliver weekly progress updates covering milestones reached, risks, blockers, and upcoming steps.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts through pitch decks, investor updates, and product demonstrations.
• Uphold data integrity, security standards, and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
