About the team

Join our Data Management team within Technology Consulting, where we help clients turn data into business value through modern data platforms, analytics, and Data & AI solutions. You’ll work on complex projects for clients in the Czech Republic and abroad, collaborating with data engineers, analytics specialists, and business stakeholders. As a Data Architect, you’ll connect business needs with technology and shape solutions from initial design through successful delivery.

About your manager

Tomáš Karas is a Director who leads the whole Data Management team in Technology Consulting. Combining the roles of Data Architect and Delivery data lead, he helps clients build large-scale data platforms and transform data using modern data & AI technologies into business value. His teams deliver solutions that automate complex processes and save clients thousands of hours of operational effort using a combination of data & AI platforms. Outside of work, you'll likely meet him with a team at some place that involves music either on dance floor or behind the mic on karaoke. At home he spends time with family of 4 kids and their famous guinea pig farm.

Jakub Ohanka is a Senior Manager who leads the Data Analytics team within Data Management in Technology Consulting. Combining the roles of Data Architect and Delivery Manager, he helps clients transform their data into business value. He also leads a data team delivering projects in Ireland. Outside of work, he is raising his two sons into future football stars and supports his favorite football club.

Job description & summary

Are you an experienced data professional who enjoys connecting business needs with technology and designing solutions that work at enterprise scale? Join our team as a Data Architect and take ownership of designing modern data solutions for a variety of clients, including organizations in the Czech Republic and abroad.

As a Data Architect, you’ll work at the intersection of business, data, and technology. You’ll translate complex requirements into robust data architectures, guide engineering teams during implementation, and help clients make the right technology decisions.

You will:

• Design end-to-end data architectures covering data ingestion, integration, storage, transformation, analytics, and consumption.
• Translate business and data requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution designs.
• Design modern data platforms using technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric, and cloud-native services across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Define data models, integration patterns, data flows, and architectural standards.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to turn architecture into working solutions.
• Guide technical teams during implementation and provide architectural oversight throughout delivery.
• Lead architecture and design workshops with clients and communicate technical decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Support technology selection and evaluate architectural trade-offs, including scalability, security, maintainability, and cost.
• Contribute to best practices in data governance, security, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Stay close to delivery and help teams solve complex technical and architectural challenges.

What matters to us

• Proven experience designing data architectures and delivering complex data solutions, ideally in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including data lakes, Lakehouse, data warehousing, data modeling, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with modern data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric, and at least one major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Good understanding of data governance, security, cloud engineering, and software engineering principles.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear architecture and make pragmatic technology decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead workshops and explain complex technical topics to both technical and business audiences.

What will help you stand out

• Experience defining reference architectures or data architecture standards across multiple projects.
• Relevant cloud, data, or architecture certifications.
• Experience with large-scale data platform modernization or cloud migration programmes.
• Knowledge of data mesh, data fabric, metadata management, or modern data governance approaches.
• Experience with batch and real-time integration architectures and technologies such as Kafka or similar platforms.
• Experience incorporating AI/LLM capabilities into data architecture, including RAG, vector databases, or AI governance.
