Accountant Associate

Job Description:

• Perform assigned month-end and year-end accounting close activities
• Prepare, document and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Research and resolve reconciling items
• Review account activity, investigate variances and escalate issues or exceptions
• Maintain organized, accurate and audit-ready documentation
• Assist with Medicare Part D premium billing operations, reporting, reconciliations, research and client-related tasks
• Partner with the Principal Accountant and team members on process improvements, analysis projects and ad hoc requests
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
• Working knowledge of Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and formulas
• Proficiency with Word
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and financial close processes
• Must understand, comply with and attest to job-specific security responsibilities and controls
• Must comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
