GDPR & Data Protection Officer (Freelancer Project Based) (PRGDP0726)

PRIORITY, one of the largest and fastest growing Management and IT consulting firms in Greece is currently seeking to hire a GDPR & Data Protection Officer. The position isproject-based, depending on the needs of the company.

Position duties:

The responsibilities of the position mostly include:

• Participate in GDPR and data governance projects.
• Interact with customers on a regular basis.
• Compare current practices against legal and regulatory requirements, international standards and best practices.
• Prepare management reports and system documentation: policies, procedures, etc.
• Provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels.
• Maintain records of processing operations.
• Write and update detailed guides on data protection policies.
• Perform audits and determine whether is needed to alter procedures to comply with regulations.
• Offer consultation on how to deal with privacy breaches.
• Arrange for training on GDPR compliance for employees.
• Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in data protection and legal compliance
• Solid knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws
• Familiarity with computer security systems
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report non-conformities
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
