Systems Analyst

Position Overview

The Systems Analyst will support software development initiatives by analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency, and designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support complex financial business processes and organizational needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective software solutions while ensuring development standards and quality assurance practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software development efforts for applications supporting complex financial business processes and cross-functional projects.
• Analyze existing business functions and processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and performance.
• Assist with process redesign, system enhancements, and business transformation initiatives.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain robust, scalable software applications.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial development through integration, staging, and production.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure code quality, reliability, and adherence to development standards.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues using established tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Establish and promote development best practices, coding standards, documentation, and consistent methodologies.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Translate business and user requirements into technical specifications and effective software solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, software development trends, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in software development, including lead developer or development management responsibilities.
• At least 5 years of experience working with development technologies and relational databases, including Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience developing and maintaining applications that support complex business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead development efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks, including Entity Framework and NHibernate.
• Experience supporting financial systems, enterprise applications, or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
• Experience with software testing, quality assurance, and application performance improvement.
