Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analyticalQuality Microbiologist Maanger to ensure the microbiological quality and compliance of products across multiple manufacturing sites. This vital role combines microbiological data analysis, risk mitigation, quality system management, and project support to uphold the highest standards of product quality. The successful candidate will contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing microbiological deviations, conduct quality assessments, manage improvement actions, and drive continuous improvement within the microbiological quality assurance area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and annual trend analyses of microbiological data, including MDM, Celsis, and enrichment results, for each manufacturing site. Identify emerging trends and proactively address potential microbiological quality issues.
- Support the execution of annual assessments, including Microbiological Risk Assessments (MRA) and Data Integrity Assessments.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), investigations, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to microbiological observations, under guidance.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing microbiological deviations and improving quality performance metrics.
- Support and participate in microbiological risk assessment projects, including MRAg activities, ensuring their timely completion and renewal.
- Conduct microbiological risk assessments for new initiatives to prevent future quality concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support MRAg renewals, new initiative assessments, and daily DDS actions.
- Support audit readiness activities and participate in quality control laboratory audits.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training on microbiological quality requirements for internal teams.
Job Qualifications
Hard Skills:
- Proficiency or strong willingness to learn in Veeva (or similar QMS software) for CAPA, investigation, and NCR management.
- Proficiency or strong willingness to learn in Power BI for data visualization and digitization of microbiological quality variables is highly valued.
- Foundational knowledge of Quality Management Systems and data analysis principles.
- Basic understanding of Microbiological Risk Assessments (MRA/MRAg) concepts.
- Familiarity with Quality Incident and Quality Release reduction methodologies is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex microbiological data.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and a keen ability to anticipate potential risks.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills for effective cross-functional engagement.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated project ownership and accountability, even for smaller initiatives.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the field of microbiological quality assurance.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience preparing for or participating in Quality Control laboratory audits.
- Experience in developing and delivering technical training.
- Project management experience focused on quality improvement targets.
- Experience achieving measurable quality objectives, such as contributing to the reduction of microbiological observations or elimination of critical open observations.
