You will support the organization’s long-term business plan through robust reporting, budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial modeling, and the preparation of Board-level materials.

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Provide brand and executive leaders with actionable financial and operational insights to support strategic evaluations, KPI tracking, and key business decisions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts across multiple brands and business units, serving as the subject-matter expert for Adaptive Planning.
  • Financial Modeling & Pro Forma: Build complex financial models, reporting templates, pro forma financial statements, and ad hoc analyses completely from scratch.
  • Board & Executive Reporting: Develop executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for C-suite leaders and Board members.
  • Cash Flow & Month-End Support: Monitor and forecast weekly cash flow, and support the month-end close by reviewing results and explaining variances to plan.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational anomalies.
  • Variance & Reconciliation: Perform thorough reconciliations and variance analyses, research discrepancies, and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
  • M&A Support: Assist with financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and the post-merger integration of acquired brands and business units.

A strong candidate will have

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred) paired with 5 to 7 years of corporate FP&A experience across multiple entities or brands.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel modeling skills from scratch, with hands-on experience in Adaptive Planning and NetSuite.
  • Strategic & M&A Acumen: Demonstrated background supporting mergers and acquisitions, collaborating with private equity stakeholders, and evaluating operational results through a strategic lens.
  • Financial & Analytical Expertise: Solid grasp of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, statistical forecasting methodologies, and large-dataset analysis to uncover actionable insights.
  • Execution & Problem Solving: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, perform variance analysis, resolve discrepancies, and independently investigate anomalies.
  • Communication & Culture: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach, positive attitude, and the ability to work onsite 3 days a week near our Carrollton office.
