Logistics Manager

Proten International is hiring on behalf of a client for the role of Logistics Manager. This is a full-time position based in Enugu, Nigeria.

The successful candidate will take charge of fleet operations, product distribution, delivery scheduling, and transportation activities. The role requires someone who can guarantee on-time deliveries, keep vehicles in good working condition, control costs, and uphold both operational and safety standards.

• Plan and coordinate daily deliveries of products to customers and distributors, ensuring distribution is timely and efficient.
• Oversee the company's trucks, including servicing, repairs, maintenance, and keeping the fleet available for use.
• Supervise drivers and other logistics staff, making sure they follow delivery schedules, assigned routes, and safety procedures.
• Track fuel usage, transport costs, and maintenance expenses in order to boost operational efficiency.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with logistics vendors, mechanics, transporters, and other external service providers.
• Ensure products are handled and transported properly so that damage and losses are kept to a minimum.
• Keep accurate logistics records and produce regular operational and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle documentation, licensing requirements, transport regulations, and company policies.
• Work closely with the Sales, Warehouse, Production, Procurement, and Finance teams to support overall business operations.

• B.Sc. or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, fleet management, or distribution operations, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing trucks, drivers, vehicle maintenance, and delivery operations.
• Solid understanding of logistics cost control, fuel management, and transportation safety.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, leadership, reporting, and stakeholder management abilities.

N350,000 – N400,000 per month.
