Please note: this role is based in Singapore, with short trips across Asia for customer engagements.
About the role
This role owns the customer lifecycle in the APAC region, with a focus on Japanese customers. The customer lifecycle includes pre-sales, delivery and service management, with a main focus on customer engagements across the full product suite (Connect).
You will bring great value to engagements with Japanese customers by leveraging your business-level Japanese proficiency and cultural understanding, bridging the understanding across customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Product, Operations).
Your responsibilities
- Collect and assemble all customers’ technical requirements from a technological and topological perspective
- Provide feedback to in-region leadership with regular and structured inputs, and recommend the necessary investments in Japan to cover future customers’ needs
- Manage the structural issues of customers’ products and take the necessary steps to strengthen the resilience of the different services
- Be fully accountable for technical customer satisfaction (CSAT): measure and analyse customer satisfaction and craft improvement plans when necessary
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and relevant experience (3-5 years) in the international telecommunication business or in operating mobile networks
- Technical expertise in mobile data (IPX, LTE, SMS and signalling)
- Readiness to travel for short trips in Asia for customer engagements
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with customers and colleagues
- Ability to communicate easily with customers in their own language, and to defend the company’s interests during negotiations with third parties
- Very good presentation skills, and ease in coping with different cultural specificities in a multicultural, innovative and changing environment
- Customer-focused, result-oriented and stress-resistant
- At least business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
