Join the international teams of Prysmian's R&D Optical Fiber Business Unit. Participate in the Draw process development of new products in the optical fiber plant, located in Douvrin (France).
Description:
As an R&D Draw Process Engineer, you will report to the site's R&D Draw & Measurement Manager and play a crucial role in Draw process development of new products. You will be responsible of draw process definition and optimization for new generation of optical fibers in particular multicore fibers, polarization maintaining fibers and 80µm fibers.
Job:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Define, plan, execute, analyze, and qualify R&D projects linked with new products. Prepare detailed test reports and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to our plants.
- Experimentation: Initiate and monitor experiments and conversion actions to drive innovation.
- Collaboration: Maintain constant communication with Product, Process Control, Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless project integration.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process modifications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Problem solving: Address and resolve occasional issues in collaboration with Engineering and modelisation teams.
- Training: Organize and conduct training sessions to ensure skill transfer and knowledge sharing.

Profile:
- A bac+5 / general engineering degree (e.g., École des Mines, INSA, etc.).
- Successful first experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong team spirit, recognized for your methodology, rigor, agility, and versatility.
- Proficiency in professional English and Microsoft Office.
