Mechanical Technical Office Engineer- Sheet Metal

• Prepare  technical drawings, layouts, and specifications for products, particularly cable tray and support systems. 

• Review and interpret project contracts, technical documents, and client requirements to ensure accurate quotations and proposals.

• Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely quote and customer request are met.

• Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOM), material take-offs, and material estimates for sheet metal projects.

• Provide technical support and solutions to site teams and address any design-related issues during project execution.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of technical submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to evaluate material specifications and ensure the procurement of high-quality components.

• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 3 to 6 years of experience in a technical office or engineering role, preferably within the sheet metal or electro-mechanical sector.

• Proven experience in preparing technical drawings, shop drawings, and documentation for sheet metal products.

• Strong knowledge of cable tray and ladder systems manufacturing and installation processes.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling.

• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
