Compensation
The compensation target for this role is: $110,500 - $130,000Why this role matters
The Controls Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for virtually all the technical work with respect to automation projects and service provided to the Operations team. The role of Controls Engineering Supervisor comes with a variety of different responsibilities and options to pursue many career paths.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install and hook-up manufacturing equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements, and balance circuits for proper power distribution.
Troubleshoot, diagnoseand repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical components.
Hire and build out facility Controls Team.
Lead the Controls Team in new equipment and upgrade projects.
Manage Electrical Contractors to maintainfacility electrical systems.
Diagnose nature of problem, perform a variety of electrical test procedures, disassemble equipmentand replace defective parts, make connections, reassembleand test.
Design control panels designed to UL Standards.
Proficiencywith VFD programming and troubleshooting.
Able to take call outs for machine break-downs(all hours).
Work closely with engineering to alter and modifyproduction machinery.
Perform daily inspections of all equipment plant wide to identifypossible equipmentproblems.
Pull parts as requiredfrom stock, notify purchasingclerk or supervisor when to reorder parts.
Proficient in sizing loads and breaker sizing for machinery.
Experience with PLC Ladder Logic and Function Block diagram programming.
Program and troubleshoot with GE, Allen Bradleyand Siemens PLC’s.
Draw basic circuits and electrical diagrams for small equipment.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Electrical Failures.
Network design and implementation.
Designing safety systems.
Supervisory role will include direct reports
Required Skills, Education, Experience:
Associated Degreein an Automation/Electrical program is required
BachelorsDegreein Related field
4 years of experience in a related field
Possesses a strong ability to work independently, as well as partof a high functioning maintenance and engineering team.
Use a variety of electrical test instruments especially multi-meters, computer, hand power tools, grinders, forklift truck, man lift, hoistsand hand tools.
Ability to read Electrical Drawings, as well as redline the drawings as field modifications are made, update drawings as needed.
Experience with injection molding and Extruding machinery a plus.
Able to Set short term priorities in responding to plant breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance and Operations Supervisors.

Familiar with Solidworkselectrical Schamaticis a plus
