Purposeful Ventures works with social ventures and philanthropists to build and strengthen organisations that change the system for young people.

Lead key communications projects, strengthen our brand and help bring new organisations to life.

We are looking for a Communications Manager to join Purposeful Ventures for 12 months of parental leave cover. You will take on significant responsibility from day one, overseeing marketing, brand and internal communications while contributing to our vision of a fairer society where all young people thrive.

You will lead the completion and launch of our new website, help set up our new incubation organisations and act as Purposeful Ventures’ brand guardian. You will also lead internal communications, helping colleagues stay informed and connected.

Working closely with the Head of Communications, you will combine strategic advice with hands-on delivery, line manage our Marketing Executive, commission and manage freelancers and work with colleagues across the organisation as well as with our partner organisations.

We need a resourceful communicator with sound judgement, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to make decisions independently. You will enjoy managing competing priorities across communications and seeing projects through to completion.

Charity sector experience is not essential. What matters is your commitment to our mission, your ability to deliver high-quality work and your enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team.

At Purposeful Ventures, you’ll join a collaborative and ambitious team, as well as a wider culture that balances pace and impact with colleague wellbeing and caring deeply about the organisations we support.

This is a fixed-term position, ideally starting in mid to late January 2027.
