Are you an experienced engineering leader who loves the sweet spot between sharp technical execution, modern product delivery, and growing great people?

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to step into a high-visibility leadership role at Pushpay. Sitting front and centre of a major product modernisation initiative, you will lead high-performing squads, collaborate with Product and Tech Leads, and directly shape how thousands of customers experience our platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead & Mentor: Provide performance coaching and career development for (initially) 4 - 8 engineers across 1-3 squads.
• Drive Execution & Delivery: Work closely with Tech Leads and Product Managers to translate product strategy into seamless execution.
• Be the Tech Conversant Leader: While you don't need to be writing code, you have enough technical depth to engage in architecture discussions, ask probing questions, challenge estimates, and call out roadblocks.
• Translate Tech to Business: Act as a bridge between engineering complexity and product/business goals-communicating trade-offs and impact with ease.
• Uplift Engineering Culture: Promote modern software practices (AWS, CI/CD, AI-assisted tooling) and act as an enabler for your teams by clearing friction and bottlenecks.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Proven Engineering Leadership Experience: You’ve successfully managed software engineering teams in a modern SaaS or cloud product environment.
• Delivery & Continuous Improvement Mindset: A track record of shipping high-quality features, modernising legacy systems, and refining ways of working.
• Technical Conversance: Strong familiarity with cloud-native architectures (AWS, microservices, modern web/mobile stacks) so you can hold meaningful discussions..
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong empathy and communication skills to partner seamlessly with Product, UX, and Delivery leads.
• People Impact Focus: Genuine passion for coaching, mentoring, and helping engineers understand the ‘why’ behind what they build.
