We're looking for a Manager to join our growing Data team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional who combines technical depth, commercial awareness, delivery leadership and strong stakeholder engagement to lead modern cloud-based data solutions. • Providing technical direction and quality oversight across ETL/ELT, SQL, Python and Spark solutions, supporting trusted data, automation, performance and scalability.
  • Championing AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting and documentation, while maintaining appropriate judgement, quality and security controls.
  • Overseeing complex data analysis and communicating insights, issues and opportunities to senior stakeholders through clear visualisation and narrative.
  • Leading data architecture, solution design, technical specifications, estimates, delivery planning and key design decisions.
  • Advising clients on enterprise data governance, metadata management and data quality, embedding fit-for-purpose practices into delivery.
  • Facilitating workshops and influencing senior business and technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts and analysis into practical business outcomes.
  • Ensuring CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code support secure, repeatable and scalable deployments.
  • Managing delivery risks, dependencies, platform, integration and data quality issues across complex client environments.
  • Leading and developing delivery teams through clear expectations, delegation, coaching, feedback and support for individual growth and performance.
  • Collaborating across data, analytics, risk and technology, while contributing to proposals, practice development and high-impact transformation outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience leading delivery teams, including delegating work, setting expectations, providing feedback, coaching others and taking accountability for collective outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide teams through unfamiliar datasets, test hypotheses and communicate insights through clear analysis and visualisation.
  • Experience leading or playing a significant role in enterprise transformation, cloud modernisation or data platform initiatives in complex environments.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of modern data solutions using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or similar platforms, with the ability to provide technical direction and challenge design decisions.
