As a Load Control Planner, you will be responsible for the forward planning, coordinating and production of all loading, weight and balance documentation in accordance with airline specifications to ensure we meet our passenger, cargo and fuel requirements.

This role will require the successful candidate(s) to complete a period of initial training and assessment. Once this initial competency has been achieved, ongoing training and assessment will form a permanent part of the role. You will play a critical part in ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft load while maximising available cargo space, interacting with various stakeholders across the QantasLink business to ensure an optimal outcome for our customers.

To be successful in this role you will have -

  • Ability to work shift work a rotating shift roster
  • A high degree of personal organisation, proven ability to prioritise time and workload and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think both analytically and mathematically
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities and ability to handle high pressure situations, conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in timeframes and environment or circumstances
  • Experience in an Aviation, Customer Service or Operational environment would be beneficial
