On behalf of
our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experiencedCAD Design Engineer to work in Nairobi, Kenya
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Prepare detailed CAD
drawings for road works, drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure.
·Convert design concepts,
sketches, and survey data into accurate technical drawings.
·Update drawings to reflect
design changes, site instructions, and as-built conditions.
·Ensure all drawings comply
with KURA specifications, standards, and approved design guidelines.
·Coordinate with engineers,
surveyors, and site teams to obtain accurate technical information.
·Maintain proper version
control and drawing registers for all project drawings.
·Prepare as-built drawings
upon completion of works.
·Support quantity take-offs
and measurement activities using CAD drawings where required.
·Participate in design review
meetings and incorporate comments from KURA and consultants.
·Ensure timely submission of
drawings to meet project timelines.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications & Experience
·Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, CAD, or related field.
·Proficiency in AutoCAD
(Civil 3D experience is an added advantage).
·Minimum 2-4 years relevant
experience in infrastructure or road projects (KURA, KeNHA, or similar).
·Experience working with road
alignment, cross-sections, drainage, and utility layouts.
Skills & Competencies
·Strong technical drafting
and detailing skills.
·Ability to interpret
engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data.
·High level of accuracy and
attention to detail.
·Good time management and
ability to meet tight deadlines.
·Strong communication and
coordination skills.
·Proficiency in MS Office and
document control practices.
