Senior QA Engineer (Job Code: JC13)Raleigh, NC, United States
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for Qualys’ data platform and microservices applications. Analyze software requirements, technical specifications, and data workflows to design comprehensive test strategies. Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios for distributed systems, including backend services, APIs, and data pipelines. Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to validate data transformations, reporting outputs, and Business Intelligence workflows. Conduct defect analysis, debugging, and root cause identification and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues impacting system performance and data integrity. Contribute to the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing, automated deployments, and efficient release cycles within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Monitor test execution and system performance, analyze test results, and provide detailed reports on defects, risks, and quality metrics, supporting continuous improvement of testing strategies and system reliability. Participate in the creation and enhancement of the continuous integration platform used to test all projects.
Work from home permitted 40% of time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or the foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or related.
- Experience with:
- Automating framework architecture using Selenium/TestNG;
- Automating REST API testing using Postman;
- Root cause identification using SQL & Python-based log analysis;
- CI/CD pipeline orchestration within Docker & Kubernetes environments; and
- Data integrity validation across structured & unstructured sources.
