About this Role

The Senior Business Analyst - JD Edwards Projects, Contract & Service Billing is a strategic functional leader responsible for the design, implementation, support, optimization, and continuous improvement of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Project Management suite, including Job Cost, Contract Billing, Service Billing, Change Management, and related financial integrations.

This position serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, project management, finance, operations, and IT to ensure JD Edwards solutions effectively support business objectives across multiple operating companies. The Senior Business Analyst will lead enterprise initiatives, business process improvements, cloud migration activities, acquisitions, and system implementations while providing expert functional guidance for complex business requirements.

This role requires extensive JD Edwards functional expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering enterprise-wide ERP solutions.

What You'll Do

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing a thorough understanding of business operations and translating organizational objectives into effective JD Edwards solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, the individual will facilitate requirements gathering sessions, document functional specifications, evaluate existing processes, and recommend improvements that increase operational efficiency and standardize best practices across the enterprise.

This position leads functional workstreams for JD Edwards implementations, acquisitions, upgrades, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migration initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating testing activities, supporting user acceptance testing, validating system functionality, assisting with production deployments, and ensuring successful adoption of new business processes.

The role also provides advanced production support by investigating complex system issues, performing root cause analysis, coordinating with technical development teams and third-party vendors, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to mentor junior analysts, promote knowledge sharing, and provide functional leadership across the organization.

A strong understanding of financial and operational business processes is essential, including project accounting, job costing, contract and service billing, revenue recognition, equipment costing, and the integration of these functions with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Payroll, and other enterprise applications.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university in business, MIS, or equivalent field. Additional years' experience can be used to substitute for degree.
• 3 - 7+ year's business experience.

Travel Percentage: 25-40%

Required Experience

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 or later
• 5+ years working with JD Edwards Contract Billing and Service Billing, as well as any of the related modules like Project/Job Cost, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Change Management, etc.
• Hands-on experience with contract setup and maintenance, including establishing the contract master, billing lines, and cross-reference/markup tables
• Experience building and maintaining a schedule of values, including progress billing against SOV lines and AIA-style application for payment (G702/G703) where applicable
• In-depth knowledge of the contract billing types and how they are configured and processed: time & material, unit price, lump sum, milestone, progress, and fee (cost-plus) billing, including retainage and revenue recognition/journal generation
• Experience working with 3rd party applications for reporting (Hubble, etc.)
• Experience implementing/rolling out JD Edwards to new operating companies
• Experience working with fiscal period-end and year-end billing and revenue recognition and profit recognition processes
• Experience in preparing testing scripts and training documents
• Experience in preparing process flows
• Participated in data mapping / data conversion activities during implementation / rollout
• Participated in Conference Room Pilots / Unit Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
• Delivered super user and/or end user Training
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
