About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Spring Boot Engineer to develop and maintain APIs and backend services, implement business requirements, integrate systems, and resolve defects. You will work with senior engineers, QA and DevOps while taking ownership of well-scoped features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications, REST APIs and business logic.
- Implement backend features from functional requirements and technical designs.
- Integrate third-party and internal APIs with proper validation and failure handling.
- Develop database operations with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Spring Data JPA and Hibernate.
- Write SQL queries, support schema migrations and troubleshoot database issues.
- Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security and JWT as required.
- Write unit and integration tests; debug defects and improve code maintainability.
- Follow agreed code conventions, participate in pull-request reviews and maintain API documentation.
- Work with QA and DevOps to support testing, deployment, logging and issue resolution.
- Investigate application errors in development, UAT and production and escalate complex issues appropriately.

- Microservices and integration with payment or financial systems.
- Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ; CI/CD pipelines and cloud-hosted services.
- Spring Cloud and monitoring/logging tools.
Employment and Working Schedule
Full-time, on-site.
- Monday to Friday: full working days; Saturday: half day; Sunday: off.

An engineer who takes ownership of features, writes clear, well-tested code, learns quickly and communicates early when a technical issue threatens delivery.
Salary
Based on Company scale.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional Java backend development and hands-on Spring Boot experience.
- Solid Java 17+ fundamentals, object-oriented programming and RESTful API development.
- Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Maven or Gradle, and Git.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Spring Security, JWT and API authentication.
- Experience with testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Basic Docker and Linux familiarity and good debugging skills.
- Ability to independently deliver assigned work and collaborate effectively.
