Responsibilities:

Litigation Support & eDiscovery:

  • Support discovery across email, documents, databases, file shares, collaboration platforms, mobile devices, and other electronic sources, while assisting with preservation notices, collection tracking, and defensible disposition.
  • Support federal attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal staff with litigation technology and document management requirements.
  • Manage and administer litigation matters within a litigation software suite.
  • Configure matters, workspaces, user roles, permissions, workflows, document fields, coding layouts, review queues, and dashboards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities, processing steps, productions, and chain of custody.
  • Assist attorneys and legal teams in identifying relevant information through advanced searches, filters, Boolean queries, metadata analysis, and analytics.
  • Support Technology Assisted Review (TAR), predictive coding, email threading, near-duplicate identification, concept searching, and other advanced review technologies when appropriate.
  • Prepare documents and datasets for attorney review while ensuring appropriate metadata, confidentiality designations, and document relationships are preserved.

Federal Government Compliance:

  • Perform litigation support activities in accordance with federal laws, regulations, agency policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Apply federal information security and privacy requirements to litigation and discovery data.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Sensitive But Unclassified information, and other protected government information in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Support compliance with security controls, agency security policies, records management requirements, and applicable federal information governance standards.
  • Follow agency requirements for data retention, disposition, access control, auditing, and security monitoring.
  • Maintain appropriate segregation of matters and ensure users have access only to information required for their assigned responsibilities.
  • Support records preservation and disposition activities in coordination with agency records management personnel.

Case Management & Legal Team Support:

  • Work directly with federal attorneys, paralegals, investigators, records managers, IT personnel, and program managers to identify litigation support requirements.
  • Translate legal and discovery requirements into technical workflows and actionable tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance to legal teams regarding eDiscovery capabilities, data sources, search strategies, review workflows, and production options.
  • Coordinate discovery schedules, task assignments, review milestones, and production deadlines.
  • Track case status, outstanding requests, processing activities, and production deliverables.
  • Prepare status reports, metrics, dashboards, and management briefings.
  • Provide user training and technical assistance for attorneys and other authorized personnel.
  • Develop job aids, user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures.

Data Analysis & Quality Control:

  • Perform quality control reviews of collected, processed, reviewed, and produced data.
  • Validate document counts, metadata, file integrity, duplicates, exclusions, and production sets.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between source data, processed data, review populations, and production sets.
  • Conduct searches and analysis to identify potentially responsive or privileged information.
  • Monitor discovery workflows for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established requirements.
  • Document quality assurance activities and corrective actions.

  • Apply least-privilege principles to litigation support environments.
  • Manage authorized user access and coordinate account provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Support audit and logging requirements for litigation databases and review platforms.
  • Protect litigation data from unauthorized disclosure, modification, or destruction.
