Service Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to join our team. You will be the primary technical contact for our clients, responsible for ensuring our equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role requires a blend of advanced technical expertise, diagnostic capabilities, and excellent communicationskills.1. To perform Technical Support, Engineering Support and Application Support for Hitachi SEM and others as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration on equipment to prevent breakdowns.

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and execute prompt and effective repairs.

• Installation & Commissioning: Install new equipment, configure systems, and ensure operational standards and safety compliance are met.

• Customer Support: Respond to service requests, provide on-site or remote technical support, and train clients on proper equipment usage.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service interventions, repairs, and parts usage, and prepare detailed service reports.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other technical staff, sales teams, and management to enhance service quality and improve product reliability.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in equipment servicing, maintenance, or field engineering.
• Certifications: Advanced technical certifications related to failure analysis machines are highly advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills for conducting diagnostic tests and resolving complex issues.
• Communication: Ability to articulate technical procedures and solutions in simple terms to non-technical clients.
• Time Management: Capable of prioritizing tasks according to urgency and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
