What's the role?
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join the well-established Qube team Rockingham Depot
- Working on Transport Fleet Predominately Volvo Trucks
- Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and maintenance planner.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and leading hand
- Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
- Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer
- Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the maintenance planner for record keeping
- Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement
- Liaise with workshop supervisor and leading hands to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled
What are we offering?
- Monday - Friday, permanent full-time
- $54.00 p/h + super on 38 hours worked
To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:
- They must have Volvo truck experience is a highly desirable.
- Current Trade Certificate.
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills, coupled with an ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels are important.
- Ability to work safely, uphold safe practices and procedures in a regulated environment, in a small team environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
