Workday Technical Architect

Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Workday Technical Architect to serve as the subject matter expert across a large portfolio of Workday integrations. The ideal candidate will lead the full integration lifecycle research, design, development, testing, and delivery while partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders to drive the overall Workday strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as SME on large collections of Workday integrations.
- Lead research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations.
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs across the full integration deployment lifecycle.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify problem areas and assess project impact.
- Research integration failures, perform root cause analysis, and report findings to management and business leaders.
- Partner with business leaders and IT teams to align on objectives and programs.
- Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday; drive alignment with other system owners.
- Develop and modify Finance integrations (Workday to internal/external clients) using PGP/SSH key management, calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs, Document Transformation, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Web Services.
- Provide production support on Workday integrations resolving technology, process, and access issues.
- Gather and document business requirements with clients.
- Support design, testing, and delivery of Workday integrations alongside colleagues.
- Participate in walkthroughs reviewing integration changes, source code, and technical documentation.
Mandatory Skills :
- Workday Studio 7+ years relevant experience.
- Workday Architecture integration deployment lifecycle, specifications & field mapping.
- Workday HCM or Workday FINANCE Finance integrations (Workday to internal/external clients).
- Workday Integrations Web Services, XML, XSLT, SOAP, Java.
Good-to-Have Skills :
- Prism working knowledge of Prism Analytics.
- Extend working knowledge of Workday Extend.
- PGP / SSH key management.
- Calculated fields & custom reports.
- EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder).
- Document Transformation.
- Core Connectors.
- Conversion activities.
- Requirements documentation & process design feedback.
Other Requirements :
- Experience building integrations/solutions around Workday HR/Finance applications.
