Staff Engineer, Solana

At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move on-chain, bridging the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching institutional-grade RWA yield vaults, fully composable and integrated into Solana DeFi.

Our Corda Protocol is an institutional tokenized Real World Asset platform built on Solana. KYC'd investors deposit stablecoins into RWA vaults in exchange for vault tokens, and redeem the oracle-priced vault tokens back into stablecoins, with curators buying and selling the corresponding assets out in the Real World to settle those on-chain token transactions.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and ship production RWA trading and lending infrastructure on Solana. You'll work across the stack, from on-chain programs to the front ends investors, traders and integrators use. You'll be working on systems that move real capital: liquidity venues, lending markets, and market-making infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who has a genuine interest in bringing regulated finance on-chain and has already shipped DeFi protocols on Solana and understands the operational realities of running them under load.

As an early team member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Corda Protocol. You should care as much about security, compliance, and auditability as you do about shipping quickly.

Responsibilities

• Influence the design and development of the Corda Protocol RWA yield marketplace to scale it to multichain & multi-curator future
• Design and build Solana programs (Rust/Anchor) for vaults, order books, AMMs, lending markets, or related liquidity infrastructure.
• Build the full stack around these programs: indexers, keepers/crankers, APIs, and the React/TypeScript front ends that expose them to users and integrators.
• Work directly on market-making and liquidity systems and the plumbing that keeps venues liquid and solvent.
• Participate in code review, threat modelling, and internal/external audits of new and existing programs.
• Design, implement, and optimize SDKs that will power our integration with centralized partners (exchanges, wallets, neobanks).

Required Skills/Experience

• Prior experience at a crypto-native or web3 engineering team is a must; you will have worked at a lending protocol, yield marketplace, vaults infra or any similar marketplace that connected onchain allocators to the curated vaults.
• Minimum of 6 years in software development and 3 years of experience in Rust with meaningful production time on Solana.
• Proven experience shipping and deploying Solana programs in Rust (Anchor or native), ideally in one or more of: order book or AMM-style liquidity venues, lending/borrowing protocols, or market-making systems.
• Full stack range: comfortable owning on-chain program logic and the off-chain services and front end (TypeScript/React, Node) that surround it.
• Solid understanding of Solana's account model, PDAs, CPI, transaction/compute limits, and the tradeoffs involved in high-throughput on-chain systems.

Nice to Haves

• Experience owning architecture & delivery.
• MPC wallets/custody, Squads, on-chain monitoring, AML screening.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts & Kubernetes networking, Terraform, PostgreSQL.
• PKI and other cryptographic knowledge.
• Experience supporting systems in production and investigating & diagnosing issues for internal or external customers.
• Experience of Linux, shell scripting or other scripting languages, Linux command line tools, TCP/IP networking.
• Java / Kotlin.
