Working Student (m/f/d) Backend Engineer, B2B Squad

Task

You build backend features for our B2B squad in C#, and you use AI tools to build faster and smarter. You work closely with our engineers on the systems that power our business with commercial customers. You start by working on smaller engineering tasks with the help of your peers, then take them on independently, and grow into medium-sized tasks over time. No practice exercises, real backend that goes live and that our business relies on. Your Results hink in outcomes, not task lists. If you are successful, here is what that looks like: Month 3 (ramp-up) You work on tasks together with your peers and find your way around our codebase and tools. You're getting to know the team and the team. You're getting familiar with energy specific wording and processes. You actively use our AI-first setup. Month 6 (performance) You work independently on smaller tasks and ship them to production. You know how the team and the processes inside work. You feel comfortable with the setup and tooling. You can deliver AI-supported high-quality outcome. You bring in your own ideas. Month 12 (scale) You pro-actively drive topics. You contribute to your tech-chapter. You're an energy market expert. Our AI-first approach feel natural to you.

Expectation

Backend builder: You are comfortable with C# and enjoy building reliable backend. AI-native: AI coding tools are a natural part of how you build, and you use them to move faster. Communicator: You communicate clearly and openly, which matters a lot in how we work. Student: You are enrolled, ideally in computer science or a related field, can work regular working-student hours and are based in or near Hamburg for our office. Nice to have: experience with Claude, Azure and SQL, and German at B2 level.
