Radius Aerospace- Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.
Position Summary
The Stretch Machine Operator is responsible for operating a stretch-forming machine to stretch and form aluminum metal to meet specified dimensions and quality requirements. This position involves loading and positioning aluminum material, setting up and operating the machine, monitoring the stretching process, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet production specifications. The operator must follow established safety procedures, maintain accurate production standards, and ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities
- Operate a Sheridan Grey stretch-forming machine to shape aluminum components.
- Load, position, and secure aluminum material into the machine.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Monitor the stretching process to ensure proper forming and dimensions.
- Inspect finished components for defects, accuracy, and quality.
- Safely handle materials and operate equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operator must be able to stand for 10 hours a day and be able to work in a hot and cold environment.
- Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
- Entry level position - we will train you.
- Good regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications
