EPC Triage Registered Nuse/Pre Admissions Coordinator

The EPC Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides specialist assessment, triage, referral, and care coordination for families seeking support with early parenting and perinatal wellbeing across 3 Ramsay sites - Masada, Waverley and Mitcham Private Hospital. The role assesses needs and risks, facilitates access to appropriate services, and works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical, psychosocial and parenting assessments to understand each family's needs and determine appropriate care pathways.
• Undertake clinical triage and risk assessment, identifying concerns and escalating or referring where required.
• Coordinate pre-admission processes, ensuring families are appropriately assessed, informed and prepared for their Early Parenting Centre experience.
• Provide families with compassionate, clear and supportive information about available services, programs and referral options.

About You:

You are a Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment and communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting parents, infants and families during the perinatal and early parenting period.

You bring confidence in clinical decision-making and triage, while also understanding that every family has different experiences, strengths and support needs. You are compassionate, non-judgemental and able to build trust with families who may be experiencing stress, uncertainty or challenges during the transition to parenthood.

You will ideally bring:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, triage, risk assessment and clinical decision-making.
• Strong understanding of perinatal mental health, early parenting and family-centred care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively with families and professionals.
