AI Data Engineer (Junior–Mid Level) — Data Analytics & Internal AI Solutions

Why This Role

You'll have real ownership over internal AI tooling from the ground up — not maintaining legacy systems but building new automation and agentic solutions that directly improve how internal teams work. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow into a senior AI/data engineering position as our internal AI capabilities scale.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain internal AI-powered tools (CRM copilots, workflow automation, reporting assistants, agentic services) for internal business users
• Build and maintain data pipelines that feed AI/analytics solutions — extraction, transformation, cleaning, and aggregation from systems like ERP, CRM, OMS, and e-commerce platforms
• Integrate LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI) and agent frameworks into internal tools, with attention to prompt design, tool/function calling, and structured outputs
• Develop AI native dashboards and reporting layers to surface actionable retail/e-commerce metrics (sales, inventory, order status, customer segments)
• Automate repetitive internal workflows (approvals, data entry, reporting, ticket triage, follow-ups) using scripting and agentic orchestration
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Execs, sales, ops, finance, logistics, marketing, etc.) to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance across internal AI tools, particularly around sensitive business and customer data
• Document architecture, data flows, and solution logic for maintainability

Qualifications

Required:

• 1–4 years of experience in a data analytics, data engineering, or AI/ML engineering role
• Solid skills and experience working with various databases (Supabase, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting (pandas, requests, etc.)
• Experience with or strong interest in LLM/AI integration (API-based agents, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar)
• Experience with or strong interest in agentic AI frameworks or multi-agent orchestration
• Background in retail, e-commerce, and/or manufacturing environments — familiarity with order management, inventory, production/supply chain, sales, or customer data structures
• Understanding of data pipeline fundamentals (ETL/ELT, data cleaning, aggregation logic)
• Ability to work independently on internal-facing tools with evolving requirements

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating AI tools with CRM and ERP platforms (e.g., Zoho, Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker), and reverse proxy/deployment basics
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Graph API integrations
• Excel/Power BI or other BI tool experience
• Exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, n8n, or custom-built)
• Exposure to manufacturing/production systems (ERP/MES, production planning, supply chain or inventory
