  • Implement and manage digital tagging across REA Group
  • 12-month fixed term contract

We're REA

With bold and ambitious goals, REA Group is changing the way the world experiences property. No matter where you're at on your property journey, we're here to help with every step - whether that's finding or financing your next home.

Our people are the key to our success. At the heart of everything we do, is a thriving culture centred around high performance and care. We are purpose driven and collaborative, which drives innovation and our ability to make a real impact. As such, we’re proud to have been named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces four times since 2021 - including third place in 2025 - plus Best Workplace for Women in 2023 and Best Workplace in Technology in 2024 and 2025. These listings are testament to every person who helps make REA a great place to work.

Where the team fits in

This role sits within the Personalisation and Privacy tribe, one of the tribes within the Consumer Group. The Consumer Group’s mandate is to be the number one destination for Australian property and real estate through the most engaging and best property experience. The Personalisation and Privacy Tribe supports and develops much of our marketing technology stack and platforms, and a privacy-first user experience that underpins REA’s revenue, product growth and world-class user experience. You’ll join the Tagging & Analytics team, which partners across Customer, Consumer and Ignite segments to enable self-serve analytics and AI-ready, composable data.

What the role is all about

As a Digital Tagging & Implementation Specialist, you will be a subject matter expert and champion of:

  • Tag Manager implementations
  • Analytics implementations, primarily Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Google Analytics and Snowplow, with others as required (e.g. Amplitude, Nielsen, Krux)
  • Defining our data layer and schema management, with a focus on composable, modular, reusable schemas

You will engage consultatively with teams across Product, Tech/Delivery and Digital/Analyst functions to guide effective collection and utilisation of audience and clickstream data. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Eliciting and documenting detailed tracking and data capture requirements; facilitating workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Translating REA data layer definitions into destination-specific analytics formats
  • Implementing tagging logic and data collection via Tealium iQ (or similar TMS) and custom JavaScript
  • Debugging and resolving tagging and data quality issues across development, staging and production; validating via browser dev tools and network calls
  • Scoping and communicating downstream impacts of tracking changes on analytics, data products and ML pipelines
  • Ensuring standardized, compliant, privacy-by-design data capture aligned to governance and content management practices
  • Partnering with Data Science, Personalisation and Marketing to ensure tracking supports AI/ML use cases (e.g., recommendations, propensity models, marketing automation, experimentation)
  • Contributing to the evolution of REA’s event and data layer strategy toward reusable schemas shared across products and platforms
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and templatise tagging and data quality checks, including the use of AI-assisted tools where appropriate

Who we’re looking for

  • Good practical knowledge and hands on experience of digital analytics implementations across web and app technologies and architecture Prior experience with Tealium iQ (or any TMS) and either Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics stacks
  • Strong fundamentals in implementation and activation (beyond reporting): events, IDs, consent, cross domain/app, attribution basics
  • Fundamental knowledge of data layers and standardized data capture practices; how schemas map to analytics endpoints
  • Knowledge of programming, system design and database concepts; strong analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated stakeholder skills: workshop facilitation, requirements elicitation and end to end guidance

Desirable

  • Intermediate or higher JavaScript and SQL and familiarity with APIs and complex JSON structures
  • Experience with Snowplow, Amplitude or similar event analytics tools
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to accelerate analytics workflows (e.g., tagging QA, anomaly detection, documentation generation)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Marketing
