Job Summary

Reactivate DevCo, LLC seeks a Development Manager in Chicago, IL. Position is 100% work from home in any U.S. state.

Responsibilities

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

·    Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals. 

·    Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors involved in the permitting and land acquisition processes. 

·    Oversee all permitting processes for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. 

·    Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams to ensure that all necessary studies, surveys, and documentation are completed to support permitting and land acquisition efforts.

·    Monitor and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies to meet project deadlines. 

·    Engage with local governments, public officials, and community groups to address concerns, communicate project benefits, and ensure community buy-in. 

·    Stay up to date on regulatory and policy changes that impact land acquisition and permitting for renewable energy projects. 

·    Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites in order to ensure project success.

Requirements

·    Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field;

·    Two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related occupation; and

·    Experience with land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and zoning laws;

·    Experience with evaluating land and utility distribution networks for optimal siting of renewable projects;

·    Experience engaging with local governments, public officials, and community groups to understand clean energy project priorities; and

·    Knowledge of regulatory and policy changes that impact renewable energy projects. 

·    These experiences may have been gained through employment, internships, or fellowships.

Compensation and Benefits

$120,000 - $135,000/ year.
