Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

•Manage and administer KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) virtualization environments to ensure 24/7 system availability, continuously monitoring performance and health of virtual infrastructure.•Design and architect high-performance infrastructure solutions including resource optimization, and capacity planning to meet business and SLA requirements.•Build and maintain standardized OS and Application Images using Packer, ensuring consistency and reliability across all deployment pipelines.•Coordinate with vendors and technology partners on system development initiatives, technology upgrades, and issue resolution.•Serve as a technical advisor and point of contact for customers (internal and external), providing consultation, incident response, and troubleshooting within defined SLAs.•Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for infrastructure incidents, document findings, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.•Develop and maintain Knowledgebase articles related to cloud infrastructure operations.•Enforce and maintain security policies and controls across the infrastructure layer in alignment with organizational security standards.•Participate in the design and execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for critical systems.•Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies to improve system capabilities and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience managing KVM virtualization and hypervisor environments.
Practical experience with Packer for building and managing OS and application images.
Strong understanding of High Availability (HA), failover clustering, and load balancing concepts.
Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, Firewall, DNS, and DHCP.
Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python) for automation and routine task management.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with vendors and consult customers professionally.
Ability to read and write technical documentation in English.
Ability to provide on-call support for system emergencies outside of regular hours.
Experience with public or private cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
