Junior DevOps Engineer (Entry-Level)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments across different environments.
• Support containerization and orchestration processes using modern tools. Help manage and maintain virtualized environments.
• Participate in application release processes and ensure smooth deployments.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure and report issues or performance concerns.
• Provide basic technical support and assist in training team members when needed.
• Perform routine backups and assist in system audits. Contribute to creating and updating technical documentation for internal systems and projects.

Technical Skills (Basic to Intermediate):

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they integrate with software systems.
• Ability to use AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to assist in automation, scripting, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or similar).
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker).
• Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox).
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic deployment concepts. Familiarity with web servers (e.g., IIS, Nginx, or Apache).
• Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing basics). Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or similar).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA, Cloud, AI Fundamentals) are a plus.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
