We’re looking for a passionate, reliable and experienced Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join our team at our Hampstead branch.

Our kitchen team plays an essential role in delivering fresh, delicious food, maintaining high standards of food safety and ensuring our cafés run smoothly every day.

You’ll be responsible for preparing food with care and consistency, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and supporting the wider team during busy service periods.

You Will:

• Prepare and assemble fresh food, including sandwiches, toasties, breakfast items and other menu products, following company recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared consistently, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards, including correct food storage, labelling, date coding and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for service throughout the day.
• Follow food preparation procedures, portion control and waste management guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels, communicate shortages and support efficient kitchen operations.
• Work closely with the café team to ensure food is prepared on time, particularly during busy periods.
• Follow allergen management procedures and company food safety policies at all times.
• Support new team members and contribute to a positive, respectful and inclusive working environment.
• Take ownership of daily kitchen preparation, cleaning and closing tasks.

You Are:

• Experienced in food preparation, ideally within a café, hospitality or professional kitchen environment.
• Passionate about fresh food, quality and presentation.
• Organised, efficient and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Knowledgeable about food hygiene, food safety and allergen procedures.
• Proactive and able to work independently while supporting the wider team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
• A positive team player who communicates clearly and supports colleagues.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

We Will:

• Pay £12.75 per hour, plus tips.
• Provide staff meals and unlimited specialty coffee.
