Purpose of the role

As our Senior Backend Python Developer, you will join the Stella engineering team and work alongside our existing Senior Backend Developer. The role focuses on designing, building, maintaining and improving backend services, automation platforms and integrations that support our internal operations and customer-facing solutions.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across Python development, APIs, automation frameworks, testing and production support, taking ownership of features from design through to deployment.

Salary range: PHP 120,000 to 130,000 per month (inclusive of a tax free allowance of 2,500 per month)

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

·Design and develop backend software solutions

·Participate in code reviews and peer review activities

APIs & Integrations

·Design and implement API integrations between internal and external systems

·Develop automation workflows and supporting services

Production Support

·Investigate production incidents and perform root-cause analysis

·Assist with deployments and post-release validation

Documentation

·Maintain technical documentation

·Document learnings and operational procedures

Required Technical Skills

Essential

·Strong Python development experience

·REST API development and integration experience

·Automated testing experience

·SQL and relational database experience

Highly Desirable

·AWS and Ansible experience

·Network automation exposure

·CI/CD pipeline experience

·Docker and containerisation experience

Ideal Profile

An experienced Backend Developer with 5+ years of professional Python development who brings both deep technical expertise and strong collaboration skills.

You will have a proven track record of designing, building and maintaining production backend services and REST APIs, integrating internal and external systems and writing well-tested code backed by solid SQL and relational database skills.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Ansible, Docker or CI/CD pipelines or exposure to network automation will help you hit the ground running.
