Business Analyst / Analytics Consultant

The role

We’re hiring Business Analysts and Analytics Consultants to our team in Helsinki. We’re hiring at two levels. Business Analyst suits people earlier in their career who bring analytical strength and want to build the customer-facing and domain side here. Analytics Consultant suits people who already carry a customer engagement independently and can own the value story end to end. Apply once and we’ll talk with you about which fits.

You’ll work with real data from some of the largest retailers and manufacturers in the world, take ownership of the analysis and the demo that show what RELEX can do for them.

We expect you to be good with data when you arrive. We’ll make you better at it.

Your key strength is knowing the customer’s data and understanding what happens behind the numbers. Finding a gap in a customer’s replenishment performance is one thing. Knowing what it costs them, why their category manager cares, and what changes on Monday if they fix it is another.

You’ll work closely with our clients and present the work yourself. Most of that happens remotely, sometimes at the customer’s own office. It means staying credible about what your analysis does and doesn’t show.

You’ll build quickly. We use AI daily for data work, to speed up configuration, documentation and demo building, and to build our own prompts, agents and tools for the work we repeat. The people who build those tools are the same people who use them.

Our customers are global. Willingness to travel internationally for customer workshops and presentations is part of the role, though currently this isn’t a travel-heavy position.

What you’ll do

Turn data into a value case

• Analyze large customer datasets to find performance gaps
• Configure RELEX software to simulate improved performance, and root cause the impact on customer KPIs
• Translate KPI movement into value the customer recognizes as their own problem, not a generic benchmark

Build with AI, and build quickly

• Use AI tooling daily to enhance analysis, configuration, documentation and customer materials
• Build prompts, tools, agents and skills that take repetitive work off the table and extend what every analyst can deliver
• Turn what works into reusable assets that lift the whole team, not only your own output

Work with customers

• Build and deliver solution demos using RELEX software
• Present findings to customer stakeholders at every level, from operational teams to executives
• Handle questions and challenge in the room, and adjust the story to the audience
• Support sales and presales colleagues with RFP responses

What we expect

• Comfort with data wrangling across large datasets, in the range of several million rows and multiple tables
• Working proficiency in Python, SQL or Snowflake. PowerBI, Tableau or Excel alone won’t be enough
• Everyday use of AI tooling in your work, or clear evidence that you pick up new tools fast and push them past the defaults
• An instinct for why a finding matters commercially, not only whether it’s correct
• The ability to explain a technical finding to a commercial audience and make them care about it
• The courage to disagree and put your own view forward, with customers and with colleagues
• Confidence presenting to stakeholders at every level
• Comfort with ambiguity. You can be productive before you feel fully up to speed, and an incomplete brief doesn’t stop you
• Steadiness when things don’t go to plan, because in presales they sometimes don’t
• Fluent English

What we consider a strong plus

• Retail, CPG, wholesale or manufacturing experience, in any function close to planning, merchandising or supply chain
• A relevant academic background such as business, engineering, supply chain, computer science or data analytics
• Something you’ve built yourself with AI tooling that went beyond a prototype
• Other languages at a high level
